Question:

Where else do you get great greens, two 18’s, no waiting, tee times anytime you call, $15 walking weekdays or *unlimited* yearly golf for $630 (including weekends).  It also has a driving range, is only 11 miles from my house and I got my first Ace there last year. Please don’t tell anyone about HG – we like it just the way it is.

No, don’t get me wrong, I play there… I learned to play on that course, I was on a junior league there…  Just that course is right in the middle of Dunham Hills and the Magestic.  It is not hard to find a two for one pass at Dunham, that is a course that some one that is not from the area should expirience.  Nothing to do about the Magestic’s prices, but it is one hell of  a course… almost a better choice than Timber Trace.

David, To put things in perspective.  At Timber Trace, I played from the Whites and Bruce played from the Golds – two tees back.  That was great fun and evened things out a bit.  I think that that can be a better handicap than strokes.  It didn’t put as much pressure on me to knock a long one and kept my ball in better position. Regarding Bruce, someday he will be at an RSG event and will bring his game.  Besides being great fun to play with he also gave me a couple of mini lessons on chipping.  I have since taken that to the course and have saved a minimum of two a side. It sure is neat when you have someone that knows what they are doing explain and take the time to show you what to do. Anyhow, thanks again Bruce. New strategy – Bruce is a hack.  In order to bet me you will have to give him 4 a side at any RSG event – even money.  Retirement may be closer than I think. One more thing about Bruce – how about his focus?  Man he can do what he wants when he wants.  There is no doubt that with the pressure on that others wouldn’t stand a chance. He knows the shots he needs to play – he will be the first to say that some of them need a bit of practise, though. But if he did practise and started playing on a regular basis, I’d be looking for 4** strokes a side. **( Note how the bargaining for strokes has started high – I’ll get to the arthristis/bad back ploy later in negotiations!)

Hey..you received a personal invitation yesterday to the RSG-DFW bash.  We really would like for you to rethink  your situation and try to get away….air fares are getting cheaper by the day, and the Sunday timetable gets you off the course by 3:00, guaranteed.  DFW International is less than 30 minutes away from Tour 18.. Do I have to bet you, like I did Annika, just to get you down here?
