Both of my regular bags are Datreks- a UFO for my cart & travel bag, and a Pacer for my carry/stand bag. The "foot" of the legs did come loose, but Datrek had the pro shop just give me a new one out of their stock rather than make me wait for repair or a replacement to ship. But how do they compare in quality, features, etc. to other stand bags such as Ogio, Izzo, Sun Mountain, Ping? (realizing that the Hoofer does not have full length dividers). I had a kinda similar experience: I had a datrek bag, and less than a year later, the leg snapped off. The datrek people had the golf shop owner swap me for a new one, and they made good on it with him. But then the leg on THAT one snapped off, but the shop I bought it from had closed in the meantime. The factory sent me to another local shop, but they didn’t have a comparable bag, and I figured it was time to make a change.

Just wondering if anyone has experience using a Datrek Stand bag? If so, what is your opinion of the bags quality, and what model are you using? I’m interested in buying one, but when I went to a local golf shop and the dealer said he does’nt carry the bags, because when he did, three customers returned the bags (for different reasons) in a two week period. Thus, he told the Datrek sales representative to get his product out of his store. However, I have no way of confirming his story, other than posting a message here and asking for everyone’s opinion. This guy may be bashing Datrek because he wants me to buy the stand bags he stocks. Any how…if those of you that have used a Datrek Stand Bag, could you please post your opinion, along with they model of bag you used. Thank you in advance for responding so quickly. Vince

Vince: I just recently bought a Datrek Sportster carry bag. It replaced a TaylorMade I had had for years. It is extremtly comfortable when walking and fits in the back of a cart nicely when riding. The quality of the bag seems very good. Plenty of compartments for personal and golf stuff. I had e-mailed Datrek with a question concerning their bags before I purchased one and they were very quick in replying. A plus in my opinion. Go to another dealer. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Terry
