Golf in Toronto?

Question:

Hi all,     Well, I’m stateside again.  I had a great trip to Toronto over the weekend, but I didn’t play any golf.  There wasn’t really any time for it this trip.  Maybe I’ll get back in the summer sometime.  Thanks for all the info, though.  By the way, when I was traveling up there, driving along the QEW, I saw a place outside Toronto called (I think) The SportsDomes.  There was a sign about baseball and golf.  Does anyone know anything about it?  Just interested.  Thanks again.     –Shawn Bannon

The dome that you saw is an indoor driving range/batting cage facility. Outragously expensive in the winter time. There are a few fairly decent courses right in that area…Indian Wells & Richview. Richview is open year round. There is also an outdoor driving range nearby that is open year round…covered stalls with heaters and the wind is usually not blowing right in your face ;-) If you are going to make the trek back up to that area, let us Toronto area folks know in advance and we’ll try to set up an outing. — Patrick Inglis

The SPortdome on QEW is one of three (that I know about) covered driving ranges in the general Toronto area. One is in Markham (Northeast) and one is in Kitchener. When snow is on the ground, the desperate golfer will do anything! All are good practice facilities. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi all,     Well, I’m stateside again.
