Question:
Hi, I am looking to join a golf club this year. I don’t want to blow my brains out on price, and ideally, it should be no longer than a 30-40 minute drive from downtown Toronto. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Lawrie — Mr. Lawrie Mann fONOROLA 416-956-4285 Website: http://www.fonorola.com Long Distance Voice and Data Solutions

Hi Lawrie I am a member at Scarboro and a member of the Captain’s Committee. Scarboro is an equity club with annuals much the same as most in the area. The equity concept cuurently allows you to get back 85% of your equity share when you sell. Financing is available through the club. It is a beautiful AW Tillinghast course built in 1914. A fabulous clubhouse and not a great deal of play — you can walk up any time. It is 30 minutes office to first tee from downtown. Membership Director is John Edwards 266-4546. Set up a game with him and ask him to give me a call — I’d be happy to join you for a round. David Bourque Toronto Golf Travel Service http://www.torontogolf.com
