Question:
All, Im looking to get a travel bag – wondered if anyone of you had any suggestions/experiences you’d like to share. I have a Lynx cart bag now – it seems too big to be placed in some sort of cover – I dunno. Anyone have any good news about a specific bag? Thanks! Chris

Chris, there’s been some lengthy discussions about travel bags here in the last couple of months. Do a Google search for "travel-bag" and you’ll see what’s up… — Dave Jones RSG Roll Call http://rec-sport-golf.com/members/?rollcall=jonesd

If you care about your clubs, get either a hard shell case (I use SKB) or a ClubGlove case. Make damn sure whatever you but has wheels. I have an SKB hardshell that I purchased about 4 years ago. It has seen a lot of airline travel and has held up very well. My particular model is made for large carry bags and smaller cart bags, although I do know they make larger ones. At first it seams a little pricey, but the peace of mind is more than worth it. One word of advice. They do seem to take up a lot of room quickly so if you have little trunk space take that into cosideration. Chris I’ve put thousands of miles on my Bag Boy, outstanding and costs about $120. I even bought my wife one. Handles 45" drivers, well balanced, easy to roll around two of them with attached bags on top. Sturdy outside and inside buckles, heavy duty zippers and sewing with lots of padded protection and plenty of space for shoes and extras, even snorkel and fins when heading to Kapalua.

SKG makes a great hard-sided, foam lined bag…like guitar cases… Frank

Check the Space Saver at SweetSpotGolf.com. I have one and love it. Usual disclaimer.
