Congratulations to Tiger Woods for winning the PGA and 3 majors in a season. Amazing. Congratulations to Bob May for the round of a lifetime. He took on the world’s best and barely lost. Congratulations to the Golf Fans of the world. We got to see a nail-biter of a final round and playoff. It doesn’t get much better than this for those of us who can only watch. Tommy Anderson, jr.
The last time I was this excited about golf was the Ryder cup. I was on the edge of my seat, jumping up and down when putts went in. How bout that chip by May on the first playoff hole. I thought that was one of the best touch shots I ever saw. — Galen We all like to dream don’t we. Cinderella story, ….

But I don’t imagine the PGA will be using their tee shots on the final playoff hole in any of their "These Guys Are Good!" commercials. (g) Or any of Bob May’s drives for the last seven holes. He missed five fairways in the last seven holes, and you just can’t do that.
Sure I can

I concur. It was an AMAZING show of golf. This has got to be the one of the greatest golf years ever. Starting off with a bang at the Mercedes, it has truly been a great golfing year. Some great stories to be sure…
It’s arguably the greatest year in golf ever. Even if you consider Byron Nelson’s best year. You have Tiger’s streak, his streak of majors, his collecting ALL of the scoring records in the majors …. And, what the heck, maybe he’ll win something else this year! -joseph — Joseph N. You can if your skill and/or the will of the golf gods is sticking your ball on the green anyway, no matter where your ball lands in the rough. -joseph — Joseph N. No question about it. This is the greatest single year a golfer has ever had. If you take the four majors, and add them to the three WGC events and the Players’ Championship (probably the best fields aside from the majors), here’s what he’s done: WGC AC Match Play — 2nd TPC — 2nd Masters — 5th US Open — 1st British Open — 1st PGA Championship — 1st WGC NEC Invitational — ?? (defending champion) WGC AmEx Championship — ?? (defending champion) He hasn’t finished out of the top 5 at the "big" events once this year. Plus wins at the Mercedes, Pebble Beach, Memorial, etc…unbelievable. Hats off to you, Tiger…you’re letting us all watch history as it’s being made. –Chris

Tommy Anderson: You are 100% correct. It was a nail=biter! and congrats to all! Of course, we have to expect that in any golf tournament, some one will come out of the pack with a strong challenge. A champion can’t have his "A" game (as he puts it) every time! Let’s face it – sometimes the ball runs in the hole and someimes it doesn’t. Not taking anything away from Bob May – he played a courageous tremendous round and made every one sit up and take notice – but, I somehow felt when it went to an extra 3 holes medal that Tiger would prevail. They both hit the ball out of seemingly impossible positions – to land on the green. It was the most exciting golf tournament today that I have ever had the privilege to watch – and for you Tiger naysayers – let me say: "Go Tiger", you have the heart to stay in there and prevail. I hope all you golfers who were bored with run-away tournaments, are satisfied with this one. An unabashed 81 year old Tiger fan.
