Question:

How close is Manilva Beach to Marbella or Prov. de Cadiz?  If it’s toward the southern part of the Costa del Sol, I’d recommend you try to play Valderrama where they hosted the recent American Express Championship of Golf tournament.  We were there back in September, and it was fabulous!  It is a private club, but they do make limited reservations for the public between certain hours of the day.  You can get all the info on the course at their website:  valderrama.com.  And, it’s not to pricey. Enjoy!  That’s a beautiful part of the world. What course do you want to recommend. Iam travelling to Manilva Beach saturday and I will play only for 2 days. thanks Marit

Also close to Manilva Beach, are the excellent courses of Sotogrande & San Roque.  Sotogrande just held Q-school qualifying.  Call ahead at both courses for tee times.  A third choice, for the the epitome of Spanish Costa del Sol golf is MonteMayor — bring your A game, leave your ego at home.
