Have you tried the claw?

Question:

Have you tried Allegra ?  I found that it works better than Claritin and doesn’t make me jumpy.

I have a serious Zyrtec jones–10mg a day–every day.  I’m not looking forward to the day it goes OTC  because  now I get it free. I have a better idea now. Thanks. But do you guys know of any site on the internet that actually showsx pictures or a diagram outlining a side saddle, claw grip putting style????

I found these pictures of Chris DiMarco using his claw grip: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/golf/masters01/2001-04-07-grip.htm http://www.dispatch.com/news/sports01/apr01/651491.html http://www.jsonline.com/golfplus/apr01/mastnot06040501.asp This site seems to have Instructional Videos from Chris DiMarco about his putting, golf swing, etc .. but I wasn’t able to get it to work. Let me know if anyone else has luck with it. http://www.sportsid.com/sid2000/criteria.asp?sport=Golf Jonathan

Response:

what kind of allergy meds make you jumpy? Anything that uses ephedrine as a decongestant.  I’ve tried Sudafed and just plain ephedrine that you buy at the health food store…they both do wonders for my nose, but for the first few rounds I’m on them every year, they make me yippy.  I get used to ‘em pretty quick, though…

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – nope didn’t like it liked it liked it alot switched to the claw other I use a modified version (more like the Calc-style – bottom hand grips like a paintbrush instead of strangles the grip) when I’m jumpy or my allergy meds have me swinging too quick…but most days I use an interlock, choked way down on the grip (bottom fingers are touching the metal).  Can’t seem to control my distance too well with the claw. "Normal" = line across the toes is parallel to the line of the putt.  You face perpendicular to the hole. "Side saddle" = You face the hole.  Line across the toes is perpendicular to the line of the putt. Gaines

Stupid question, but I am reletively new to this great game of golf. Could someone explain to me what the side saddle stance is please. I have tried the claw, but onl with a conventional stance.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – nope didn’t like it liked it liked it alot switched to the claw other other #2 in reality all the "claw" is, is side saddle without the adjusted stance, i’ve used that "grip" for the last 25 years, along with a side saddle stance. i have tried the claw with a conventional stance and it is an improvement for me over a conventional grip/stance, but not over the side-saddle approach. i guess that’s an other #2 bud Thanks in advance!!! Nope, don’t need it.  Some days I make putts, some days I don’t.  When I’m not making putts, I use the attitude that it is only temporary.  No need to change putters, grips, stance, etc. tim – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – nope didn’t like it liked it liked it alot switched to the claw other other #2

I did play about with it when my putting was going through a bad patch. Liked it for short putts as it did keep the stroke in line, but found it difficult to judge/control pace on long putts. — RSG roll-call: http://rec-sport-golf.com/members/index.html?rollcall=mulligans
