I read many years ago (I think it was in a Ben Hogan book) that the power generated in a golf swing is up to 2 horsepower. To me generating that energy consistently and producing predictable results requires endurance that would be associated with an active sport. If sport is supposed to be aerobic then walking qualifies as an aerobic activity.
