Golf is eighty percent mental. Maybe more.

Question:

Hello fellow golfers: My name is Scott Bright.  Yes, golf is eighty percent mental.  But sound fundamentals need to be in place first. I have worked on this method for six years now.  Taught the fundamentals for the last fourteen of those years. Here is a brief history: Got on tv, radio, and newspapers blah, blah. If you’ve been playing five years and up, I have a technique, called, "The Bright Breath technique." I have more to share than this.  I’d be happy to share the insight I’ve discovered, and soon, if you use it, so will you.  Learn to be the zone. I’m happy to share this because it’s a fun way to golf.  Remember, "quiet mind, great shot result." Sincerely, Scott Bright — Scott Bright "Zen" flavored golf philosophy

Response:

Winning tournaments is largely mental, but hitting a golf ball solidly is 100 per cent mechanical. OK,I will back off & say, you have to have a good mental attitude to sort through all the b.s. It’s a wonder anyone can develop a solid golf swing, based upon the disarray in golf instruction. People who subscribe to the mental side re: ball striking are now even saying Moe Norman is a genius. My advice, if you want a confident mental attitude, get a solid swing. When you can hit your driver off the pavement and the 1 iron is one of your favorite clubs, you get confidence fast. David
