Well, there are only a few companies that offer Mini-DV cameras for under $500 that I know of. They are JVC, Panasonic, and Samsung. Most of the slightly more expensive cameras just have more features, not necessarily better quality. So if you only want the camera for your golf swing, a cheap JVC or Panasonic Mini-DV camera would probably be good enough.
