Question:
I’d strongly recommend going to a shop and trying some on before buying anything. Some Nike’s fit me well, but some don’t, and no Reebok’s seem to fit me. I used to work in a running store, and I’d see this all the time – every foot is different, and every brand has one or more different lasts that they build their shoes on. If you’re lucky, you can find one that fits you well and hopefully the company won’t change the last after a few years. It seems that every few years though the companies decide to screw things up and change whatever model you like, making it uncomfortable. I knew people who would buy up 4 or 5 pairs of their favorite shoe just in case they company decided to change it. I think Ashworth is good. It used to be around $150 for a pair. You can buy them from www.shopsports.com for around $29.

As a follow up question, I’d like to solicit advice on shoes with detachable spikes vs. those with built-in traction. Aside from the cheaper cost (in the long run) of those with detachable spikes, do they have other advantages? Thanks in advance. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Can someone please tell me what are some comfortable golf shoes for around $60-$80.
