Question:

Newport News park is a city run park off I-64 very close to Kiln Creek. Kiln Creek is right down Jefferson Ave. from the park.  The park is on the outskirts of town in a wooded area on a reservoir.  We have camped there with out RV (24′ trailer) and the boy scouts go there all the time.  The park is maintained well and I would recommend.  As far as Williamsburg, it is only a few minute drive up I-64 from the park, so going to another campground really is not required, however, there are a few KOAs in the area.
