Question:
Looking for a good fantasy golf site? I have been playing at http://www.2play.com and had a great time. Sunday afternoons are much more fun now. [Except this week because I picked Norman to win the U.S. Open] They recently made improvements and a new contest starts up soon. The best part is that it is FREE. You win gift certificates in their shop. The only problem for me is the fact that their shop doesn’t include golf equipment. Has anyone else found a good site? P. Davis
Response:
I started a small free golf pool if users of this newsgroup (or anyone) would like to just play for bragging rights and such. Since I’m poor, I can’t afford any prizes unless someone wants to donate something. The way it works is you choose 4 players to place in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place. 1st gets 100 points, 2nd 75, 3rd 50, and 4th 25. Example if you chose Els as your 1st place winner of the Open, you would have received 100 points, if you chose him as your 3rd place winner, you would have received 50 points. So basically, you choose the top 4 you think will win and the order they win determines the amount of points received.
