Question:
I once saw a demonstration on TV where they had a guy steal a car that had The Club on the steering wheel…took less than 5 minutes. Used a hacksaw on the steering wheel and had had the club off in about a minute. I still use one though but park next to someone who doesn’t

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – The club was on the steering wheel!! The thieves bent the steering wheel or had some kinda key for the club and I found it laying on the floor. Sorry to hear about your situation. I would pass on the car alarm though, they’re more trouble than they’re worth. My car’s been broken into when I’ve had alarms and when I haven’t. It really doesn’t matter to the thieves. If they want to get in, they will. Just don’t leave anything in there that you’d hate to replace – like your clubs. If you worried about your car being stolen, just buy The Club – its a better deterrant anyway. Car alarms just cause a lot of unnecessary noise that no one pays attention to. Its a pain in the butt when you can’t shut your alarm off too. Those little remotes just don’t work all that well. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!

(snip) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I lead an awfully sheltered life here in Mayberry. I rarely lock my car doors, leave my garage door open almost constantly, and have items that stay outside. I have never had an item stolen from my car or my garage. And I have a large John Deere Lawn Tractor, four sets of golf clubs, a boatload of tools, a refrigerator full of food and drinks, some antiques, etc., etc., etc…. I’m going to call Andy right now and thank him for the great job! …..And NO, I won’t tell you where I live! ChiliDipper I’ve already traced where you live. Btw, leave some Rolling Rocks in the fridge for me. I’ll be over tonight. ;) Scott
I’m sorry, but it’s gonna have to be Amstel Light or Amber Bock! ChiliDipper

I think I’ll be purchasing a new car, and at the same time a car alarm. PLUS my golfclubs will never spend a night in the back of my car again.
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Matt, I would suggest a car alarm. Knowing that you will be buying new clubs, the thief may be back looking for the new set himself! Congratulations on you new set of clubs!? I walked out to the car one morning to go to school. To my surprise, the car was not there. I thought that I may have parked it in another area of the parking lot, no such luck. The worst part of this ordeal is that I parked the car where my father told me to not park it (it was his car
). Needless to say, the clubs were in the car, as well–my set and his. I was pretty pissed off, since I liked my clubs so much and they would have been very difficult to replace. Two days later, the police called and asked us to identify the car. The kids that stole it must have taken it for a joy ride and parked it in a woman’s driveway. The woman called from a neighbor’s phone, since she thought that there were burglars in the house–always a good possibility in this area. My father and I drove over to the ladies’ house and it was his car. They had not done any real damage to the car and the stereo was still there. The trunk had been busted open, though, and I began to get nervous. We opened the trunk and my babies were still there! I was friggin’ ecstatic. The cop must have though that I was nuts when he witnessed my reaction to seeing the clubs there. I could have cared less about the car, but the clubs were another story. After that experience, I don’t leave my golf clubs in the car, anymore
