suggestions for golf vacation in western us

Question:

If you have a look st www.personalcaddy.com we have many reviews of courses and it includes what the approximate costs are plus information on each one as well – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Well, the tight budget is a problem.  Good courses where the weather is nice in the winter are going to cost you.  Anyway: 1) Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ 2) Palm Springs/Coachella Valley, CA 3) Monterey Bay Area, CA Any suggestions for good golfing locations and courses in the western us? (we’re on a tight budget so we’re looking for bang for the buck.) Thanks.

Response:

Might I suggest Reno/Carson City area. Most of the Hotels have golf packages. In Reno I would recommend playing Lakeridge or Redhawk. Redhawk is beautiful. Carson City is a little less expensive, but there are a good choice of courses including a couple of very new courses. Allen B Allen B Fishing’s what I do for work…Bowling and golf’s what I do for fun…Someday I will wake up and realize I might have to get a job.

For prices, weather and fairly nice golf courses try the San Joaquin Valley in California, Bakersfield is where I’m at and can play almost year round for less than $25.00 per round including cart..
