Spammed by CBS Sportsline–Golfweb

Question:

Those of you who play golf may want to look for a new site to get golf information from (you could switch to golf.com, which is NBC’s golf page), and you are doing so. Congratulations, you have just lost a customer for good, and I’m sure many others will never do business with you again.  Like them, I have taken a pledge never to do business with companies that spam.  (look up the "Boulder Pledge") In the future, I will use NBC’s golf.com as my home web site for golf information. Somebody in your organization needs to learn that advertising by bulk e-mail will irritate so many people that you will lose more customers than you will gain.   Yes – your right! I was surprised to see it myself but you may be on their mailing list as I am. If you ever picked a winner on their "PGA Tour contest" your automatically on the list.   Golfweb has lost it’s… "individuality"?.. (for lack of a better term) once it sold out to CBS.   Hey, is there  any big corporation that wants to buy my  left-handed golf site? http://www.dca.net/golf   This is America baby and  I’ll sell anything – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Those of you who play golf may want to look for a new site to get golf

Sorry if I’m dense, but I don’t get this.  I am an infrequent user of online golf sites.   Who did what to who? John
