RSG Roll Call. I lied – we're starting now.

Question:

Ok, here we go.  The "ground rules" are as follows:   Reply to this post VIA EMAIL and fill out the form – please do NOT reply to the newsgroup.  I’ve removed the "OHPLEASE" from my reply-to email address, so a direct reply should work.   The only thing I absolutely require is your real name.  I know some people don’t wish to use their real names for security sake, but I’m afraid I will not be making any exceptions.  Everything else on the form is optional.  I’m not going to be making any corrections for spelling, punctuation, or grammar – what you write (or don’t write) will be what shows up – if you leave something blank, it’ll show up as blank.   As soon as I’ve added your name and linked form to the list, you will be notified by email.  Things will look pretty weird until the list starts to fill up, but I would strongly suggest that after receiving the confirmation you check out your form to make sure I haven’t made any errors (like spelling your name wrong).     After the initial spurt of filled-out forms I expect in the next couple weeks which I’ll be adding everyday, further additions will probably done on a weekly basis.  Updating existing forms, on the other hand, will be done "on the spot" and you will again receive a reply indicating that your form has been updated.   At this time, images will not be included on the form, but I assure you that they will be integrated eventually.   The main roster will be located at: http://u1.netgate.net/~kirby34/rsg/rsglist.htm.  It’s actually already there, but I’m the only one on it.  Heh.  If you post to the newsgroup using a nickname, please include it in your reply so that it can be shown on the main roster next to your real name.   Thanks for your patience! You can put it into the comments if you feel it’s important. I guess there’s a limit to how many "fields" you can practically cater for, bearing in mind that Jeff is volunteering his time. BTW, I’m playing with a group in an Ambrose (Scramble) on Sunday. Even though I do everything else left-handed, I’m the only right-hander of the four! Next time you redesign the database, add " left or right" as a choice.  While it probably dosen’t matter to most, lefties have some issues of their own, and might like to find each other.

Hmmm.  I have to admit that I’m a bit opposed to adding another entry line to the existing form.  While it wouldn’t be a HUGE deal, I don’t really want to have to re-solicit the people who are already on the list.   I don’t want to sound like I’m trivializing "handedness," but you can always mention it in the Comments section. jeff — Jeff Chung RSG Roll Call – 42 entries as of May 2, 1999. http://u1.netgate.net/~kirby34/rsg/rsglist.htm
