Sean, relax. I can assure you that the horny drunk men have not travelled the distance to Thailand to make advances on a farang lady who is obviously accompanied by a farang male. Too much hassle. The more obvious source of the unsolicited advances may well be to YOU from some Thai girls you may encounter. Having said that, if it’s obvious that your girl is indeed YOUR girl, you will have no problems. The Pattaya girls will probably take to her as someone to aspire to. Regards, TMcG

Totally and whole-heartedly agree. If you take computer gear to Thailand, there is no need to declare it. I include copy of email from February this year re Jeep, Pattaya Computer Club and the children. Jeep’s contact details are at end ….

Seems he is involved in putting computers into the hands of less well off schoolchildren at some of the local schools. He needs all the computers and computer parts he can get hold of. So, to all you netters out there, should you have upgraded your computer in recent times and have surplus bits like hard drives, ram, mother boards, video cards, sound cards, etc. please bring them to Thailand when you make your expeditions to that fair country. Complete surplus computers would be welcome but unless you already have them in the country it seems that Thai customs slap huge tariffs on them as you bring them in even though they are second hand and/or obsolete. This makes the exercise in donating them far too expensive. The Pattaya Computer Club should not be too difficult to find. I lost his card

Yeah I gotta agree, Pattaya ain’t the greatest place. But if you can deal with all the bullshit it can be pretty fun. The one thing I really hate though are those asshole american marines who come down every year or something and think they rule the place. They always have something stupid to say to every Thai girl who goes by thinking that they’re all hookers. What pisses me off even more is when I say excuse me they get all shocked and go oh my god YOU SPEAK ENGLISH!!! SOme people are just ignorant and think that education doesn’t exit out of their home town. Anyway getting back to the point. If it’s a beach that you want. Go to Phuket, it’s the most beautiful place..it’s got a great beach that’s not over crowded and fun things to do like jet skiing and parasailing. It’s also got great parties. Don’t waste you time in Pattaya for too long. It’s fun every once in a while but no in the long run.
