Melbourne Golf and Kangaroos

Question:

Hi, I’ll be visiting Melbourne again sometime in Jan 2004 and will like to golf around. I have seen roos in most courses in Perth but have never seen any here (Mel). I last played at Dunes and Moonah Links beginning of 2003. Neither were there any to be seen even at remote Warrnambool (on the way from Grampians to the unforgettable 12 Apostles) As this is the first time my friends will be visiting Australia, it will really be a big kick if they get to meet the ‘real’ thing in the flesh at any Melbourne golf course. Anybody know something that I don’t will be treated to a jug of beer if we’re playing there the same day! Thanks lai

You won’t see any kangaroos on any gold course in Melbourne. *Maybe* you might out in Healesville or something…

If you don’t see more Roo’s at Anglsea Golf Course than anyone can stand, I’ll buy you a pint.

Dunes and Monash links are in the middle of town 30k from the nearest bush of course there aint no roos, try healesville & maroondah in the east, werribee & the pines in the west, sunbury in the north, or any other course that is near the edge of town, Anglesea, Geelong West, Frankston,  ps Warrnambool isnt really remote, it is a failry large centre, and of the four golf courses, those not in town itself are covered in fauna —
