Question:
call the Academy of Golf at 800-879-2008. They run three day schools in Austin and Colorado Springs periodically throughout the year. I have attended twice with excellent results.
Response:
Have you spent any time at a golf school? I’d like recommendations for a good one where I can spend 2-3 days learning how to play. Please tell me which ones you liked and why. (Don Flatgard, I have a recommendation you send on 5/26/97.) Thanks.
Response:
Both my wife and I have been to the Golf Institute at the Innisbrook Hilton Resort in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The first time was as beginners; the second, years later for an intermediate course. The advantages were: 1. A lot of fun and hard work combined. 2. Patient and competent instructors. 3. A student:instructor ratio of about 4:1. 4. Both range and on-course instruction. 5. Three superb golf courses to play after lessons, if you still have strength. 6. Excellent accommodations and meals. Their phone number is (813) 942-2000. -Robby P. — The "Pensees Nouvelles", a multisubject magazine on the World Wide Web, may be found at: http://www.emory.edu/PATHOLOGY/PENSEES Vol. 2, No. 2 (April. 1997) is now on line, and includes the following: "Backswings to the Future" – the sports page of golf happenings 18 years from now.
