Yes, and like the stranger, you provided him with the same crappy attitude.

At least I provided him with some useful information and didn’t see him complain.

Response:

Did he say it was useful or are you assuming?? — bill-o

Alan Nice way to treat a new comer asking for help, Alan.  Is that how you would like to be treated the next time you stop and ask for directions? Alan: "Excuse me, I’m new in town and I can’t find Broad Street.  Do you know where it is?" Stanger on the street: "All you gotta do is drive around until you see the street sign." Alan: "But, I don’t know where it is." Stanger on the street: "You’re kidding, right?  Did you look on a map (dumbass, muttered under his breath)." The tone of your email leaves a lot to be desired in the civility department. Hi  I will be going to Indianapolis for the first time for a wedding on July 5th and was wondering if anyone can help me out. I’ve been searching for help on the internet but I thought someone may have first hand experience. The preacher says it all. All you have to say is "I do". Can you tell me what golf courses are around since I  will be able to get 1 or 2 rounds of golf in during my stay there. I will be staying at the Hampton Inn on South Meridian Street from July 3rd to 7th. I am interested in a semi challenging course (since I shoot around 88 )I really also like a very scenic course that is not level. Any info you can give me (course name, type , cost, location, distance, web sites, etc.) is greatly appreciated and if you can’t help me I apologize for taking your time…..Thanks in advance ….. //  Ron  // … You’re kidding ? Indianapolis is a surprisingly attractive town.  It is pretty flat, but with rivers, you should find some non-flat courses. Just for the novelty of it, you may consider playing the golf course that’s inside of the Indianapolis 500 speedway.   I don’t know anything about it other than I drove past it. I was there last year and bought family membership in their children’s museum, as I took my grandson there several days.  It has a pretty minor league baseball park, its small zoo has a good dolphin show, and there’s a 2nd story mall going through several blocks of downtown.

Ron, Play the Brickyard (located at the motor speedway) and the Fort (east of town). Both are really nice Pete Dye courses that you’ll love.  The Brickyard is a more flat than you might like but a lot of fun.  The Fort is located on that only piece of ground in Indianapolis that is not flat so you’ll like that one.  Or you might try Heartland Crossings.
