Holy Cow!

Question:

Can I ride in the trunk?  I’ll even buy the gas!  Just gorgeous. I plan in being in southern Oregon in ‘99, but probably over a month prior to opening. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’m Moving! Rob.

Response:

Brian – Unfortunately the course won’t open until May.  From what I understand though, the course is complete and is getting play now from invited media and guests.  I’m heading through Bandon next week on my way to visit relatives for Thanksgiving, and am hoping to stop in and take a look for myself. An RSG-Bandon outing would be a fantastic idea.  Let’s all keep it in mind and plan it for May! Mike Mike, when’s good for RSG-Bandon? Any time after the New Year is good for

me, as I’ve used up almost all of my vacation.

RSG-Bandon sounds like a great idea, what a beautiful course!  I’m planning on being in Sunriver in June, might have to make a day trip to the coast! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Brian – Unfortunately the course won’t open until May.  From what I understand though, the course is complete and is getting play now from invited media and guests.  I’m heading through Bandon next week on my way to visit relatives for Thanksgiving, and am hoping to stop in and take a look for myself. Wow!  Just saw the webpage for the new Bandon Dunes golf course in Bandon, Oregon.  Even though the course won’t officially open until May of next year, national golf writers who have played it apparently say it will be one of the top 5 golf courses in the world!  Better yet, it’s a public course, where walking will be required (no powercarts) and no houses/condos etc. on the golf course.  A real course for purists.  When the complex is complete, there will be three courses of amazing quality. Oh, Man! I played Sandpines in Florence, OR earlier this year and I thought THAT was amazing, but this looks incredible!!  Anybody have any idea how much it is going to cost to play this little gem?  I’m guessing $125 barring new play discounts.  - RW

If anybody has avoided doing this on the suspicion that Mike is just some vile spammer, I recommend you go ahead and swallow your pride and check this out. Mike, when’s good for RSG-Bandon?
