Help – Golf Tee Time Reservation System?

Question:

Hello, I would like to thank everybody from this group who sent leads to help me find a vendor who makes these systems. I have started calling a number of golf courses to followup and find out who makes these reservation systems. Steve, thanks for the info below. If anybody knows of any vendors who directly sell/lease/support these systems, please send me an email with a phone number. Thanks, – Greg – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Can’t help the original poster with the exact name, but… The automated LA city system works well.  The office (not the system) can be reached at (213) 485 5566.  But I’d guess any "standard" touch tone menu system would work fine. Like Susan’s comments about Westchester, it allows quick searches across multiple courses, takes times for singles, keeps me from having to get to the course before sunrise if I want to play, and probably reduces over-all phone use time. A few years back, with live operators, phone lines were ‘always’ busy, and times were ‘impossible’ to come by.  After a few start-up glitches, I think most people consider the automated system a success and a good application of touch-tone menus. A couple comments for the potential system designer:   1) Make the voice prompts as short (fast) as possible.   2) Make sure all voice prompts can be interrupted with an early   response.   3) If there’s a small enough regular customer base, consider   customizable searches: Press 1 for your regular request number 1,   press 2 for your regular request number 3, etc.   4) Voice recognition might help for choosing courses, but the   rest: times, number of players, number of holes (9/18) are pretty   obvious, and easy through touch-tone menus.  Systems that might try   to respond to: "please find me the best time for a foursome on   thursday at my favorite course" unfortunately probably won’t work   well (yet). Steve Hey…what’s WRONG with the system in Westchester County?  I LOVE IT!! It lets you search across multiple courses (only 1 phone call, not 3), it lets you get a time for a single (which MOST courses won’t), and I don’t have to get up at 5am to be at the course for a stinking lottery system at 6am. Susan Westchester County in New York has this system but it sucks. If you want to loose your regular player get this systems otherwise let someone answer the phone Hello, I am hoping that some Golf Club Managers follow this group and can help me out. I am a Telecom Engineer and I am trying to help out our local golf course. We are looking for a system that will allow players to dial-in and schedule tee times via an automated voice & touch tone menu. It can be PC based and voice recognition would be a plus. Does anyone know of a company that makes this type of system? this post is slightly off topic for this group.
