Dean, When you get there pick up a copy of the local paper, Orlando Sentinel I believe its called and look at the sports pages you will find loads of special deals on courses ranging from about 30-50 dollars. If you have a car try Highlands Reserve to the south east of Orlando, I played it about 2 months ago and was in fine condition and about 35 dollars. It is abou 30 mins drive. Another good one is Poinciana golf and racquet club, same price range. Nearer to Orlando is Remington, same price range. I travel frequently to Orlando for golf and have some golf literature at home if you need any further advice mail me. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Does anyone have any suggestions for decent, but not too expensive golf courses in Orlando??? Thanks Dean

Does anyone have any suggestions for decent, but not too expensive golf courses in Orlando??? I am staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress but at $150 dollars per round I will be lucky to get in any more than 2 rounds (have to spend the bucks at Disney I guess) Thanks Dean

Response:

Disney courses are also quite expensive ~$125-$175 if you are not staying at a Disney hotel. I’ll suggest three courses I’ve played in the area: Falcon’s Fire (just outside of DW) a resort-type course, not bad for the $90; Bobby Nichol’s Oaks course – not lush, but a fun test and cheap; and (a bit of a drive) Southern Dunes – a real good test and not as expensive as Disney. There is a service in Orlando that helps you find tee-times; I can’t remember their name but they are in the Yellow Pages – they will recommend courses and set you up with a tee-time. Hope this helps, OtherKevin * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!
