Flag etiquette (goes with putting etiquette)

Question:

- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Now, Howard, golf etiquette has everything to do with how one blows one’s nose as you so clearly stated in the above paragraph.  IMHO, if one behaves as a gentleman on the golf course, you can be sure that he behaves that way in his everyday life.  Whether it is Ms. Post, Ms. Manners or irascible Scotsmen, the point here is that unwritten rules, etiquette, if you will, on or off the course separates us from the common beast.  That, and thumbs. We are amused with your delightful post. And since this seems to be thread with just two strands holding it together: My other flag gripe is over the yo-yos who feel they must pick it up full tilt while there are still three folk to putt out. I’m standing down the fairway starting to position myself for the next shot when I see that flag straight up
