Question:
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – You are right the rounds are played on the same day. We started at 8 am finished around 6 pm. Dallas was a little cooler at 94 degrees but with the humidity, well you know……. What happened the first nine.? I didn’t think I was nervous. I really had prepared. Played 36 holes on 5 different days from the same tee’s we played from as part of the preparation. Played at least one of those rounds with my instructor. I suspect that it was a series of little things including some tournament jitters. I doulbled the 2nd hole after a shank I tripled the 4th with a lost and/or tee shot out of bounds. Good swing my arms just got lose from my body. Two three putts and a ball into the lake on my 9th hole.
Could it be that you were "pressing" a little bit? Like stressing about what you can do, instead of focusing on the moment and letting things happen? As I type this I don’t have a clear memory of a target on each swing being fixed in my mind. I had expected to birdie my first hole and had to scramble for a par. My ability to stay focused is in question. (btw) that last 35 was a 34 I was two under, bad typing too
Not bad, pardner. Congrats once again. Bob Dye Still Hacking Away No Mulligans, Putting the all in (remove spaces to email)

I was but it was different. After a nights sleep I think it was more that I would be damned if I was going to let all the preparation that I put in go to waste. Bob, tell us what happened on the first 9. Was it nerves, just the random bad round, bad luck with lies, etc?
Response:
It is the test you must pass to enter the PGA apprenticeship program. Never worked so hard in my life to get a job
I didn’t know you were doing that. Congratulations! That’s neat.

Good for you. Great to see you picked up the seven strokes the second day. "When you get time" tell us what it was like for you and how the course was set up each day. What is next for you? Cheers, Mike
