Smart Sport Golf tester program?

Question:

Is anyone familiar with the Smart Sport Golf tester program? They ask for a security deposit to test their clubs for 60 days. You then return the clubs or purchase based on your preference. The deposit is from $1000 to $1200. Any experience with this company and their dealings?

I am currently doing a SmartSport Distributor club evaluation. I love the clubs. They are custom made and the company gives you several options and what size and type of iron heads and woods you want. I have been evaluating them for the last 2 weeks. The customer rep I have been talking to has been extremely pleasant and helpful. I may even keep the irons. The money they have you put up is security, afterall they are sending you about $1500(retail price) in clubs. They offer a free lob or sand wedge in the deal. If you are going to do this program, let me know. They will allow you to keep the irons or woods if you sign up 10 people to the trial. Can I have them call you? Just email me your name and phone number and I can have them call you. I don’t want to sign you up if someone else is using you as one of their 10 people. If you are still skeptic, let me know and I’ll give you a phone number you can call and talk to one of the companies reps. Mark Satterfield – Lucent Tech.
