Question:
Trevor: Thanks..I actually have replace my 3,4,5, and 6 iron….I cannot get me club to parallel so I probably do need to change my shafts… Thanks again.
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – If you don’t have a high swing speed you need to consider the more lofted clubs. Replace your 3, 4 and 5 irons with a 7 and 9 wood. These have higher lofts and would be easier to hit. This being said, your shafts do play a major role in the playability of the clubs. Most people play regular flex shafts and the better players tend to go for the stiffer flexes. If you have a low swing speed you may be in need of shafts that are even more flexible than regular like senior shafts. To solve the problem I would suggest seeing a local golf professional and get analysed. They can tell you exactly what you need. Response:
I’ve been having trouble with my irons..especially those less than the 7 Iron(i.e. 6,5,4, etc…) I don’t have a lot of "swing speed". Would it make sense to consider my problems to be that I’m hitting the wrong shaft???
I wouldn’t worry about the shafts,It’s hard when you don’t have as much swing speed as you did when you were younger. My recomendation would be is go out and buy a 7& 9 wood and start enjoying the game again. Technology is there I would use it.
