Question:
Don’t sweat the "proper" club too much at this age. She’s growing fast! Buy a used set of ladies club and take them to a golf shop to have them cut down and regripped. It should cost around $5-$6 per club. Or, do it yourself. Just cut off the grips, cut off about 4" or 5" from each club. Then, regrip with junior grips or ladies grips. Or, check with local golf shops. You might find used kids clubs or even new sets for around $100. A lot of shops around here are even selling new clubs as singles. So, you can buy a 5 iron and a 9 iron to see if she really likes it before buying the whole set. Want to start my seven year old girl. She’s just over 4 feet tall, 50 lbs (i.e. tall and thin for a seven year old). Very coordinated. Suggestions welcome.
