Question:
Hello, I have a set of 12 year old golden ram blades (steel shafts) that I’m thinking of replacing. My first question is if anyone knows where I can find a golden ram blade 7 iron? My second question is, can anyone give some advice as what club would be a "good" replacement for my current set? Lastly, if my irons are in good shape, how much are they worth?
Response:
First, to find a missing club visit Ironfinder. They are still working on their site, but they will almost certainly be able to replace your missing club and you can e-mail your enquiry to them through the site. Here’s the link. http://www2.connectnet.com/users/hhjones/ Second, if you like the set you have you should probably get another great set of blades. Maybe the new Hogan blades would be good for you. Visit: http://www.benhogan.com. Or better yet stop by eBay and pick yourself up a set of vintage blades like old Tourney’s or Haig Ultras or maybe a set of Hogan 1+ or IPT’s in rough shape and send them to Golfworks to be rechromed. Then have new shafts dropped in and you have the best that has ever been built for golf. What’s old is new again. Sadly, your irons are probably not worth very much. In particular they are likely depreciated dramatically by the absence of a 7iron. But even in perfect shape and as a complete set these irons would probably not fetch more than $80 or 90. Sorry. I could be wrong, however, if there are some Ram freaks out there searching for the model you have. Hope this helps. Check out Ironfider and you might be able to reconnect this set.
