I was wondering if there is any place where I can find out what equipment the pros use. Not that it will make any difference to me, but I think it would be interesting at least to see what the best of the best use in the face of all the technological blitz the rest of the golfing public has to endure. And just for kicks, I’d like to know what putter Tom Lehman uses (I have a bet riding on this one). -Larry

It is really neat finding out which pros use the clubs they endorse and which don’t. Nick Price for example won the Heritage without a single Goldwyn club that he has done commercials for. Tiger Woods uses a Titleist putter and I think the 3-wood. His driver is a Cobra which is now part of the same conglomerate as Titleist. His irons are the Mizunos he has played for a number of years. To be fair though, his commercials have been for Titleist balls, not clubs. John

He’s been attending fitting sessions for Titleist clubs off and on, every few weeks or months I gather. Eventually they’ll reel him in. I’m sure they would rather not have him start playing their clubs and then enter a slump … along the lines of the example set by Corey Pavin. It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with. Are they trying 962Bs? Something like the Norman Grind (a Cobra head)? -joseph
