I have the best pro!!

Question:

Well Mark thank you for your kindness.  I always worry that people think I’m a nitwit since they always assume I’m young.  I’m mid 30s (god it hurts to say that), but I suppose my occasional naivete might cause some to think me younger.  I guess I shouldn’t mention the hot toddy he had waiting for me at the clubhouse when I got back?? Just joking, just joking. Heather

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –    Hether, from your posts and replys to the ng, it is evident you are a dedicated golfer and a nice person. From your mention of LSAT I  figure you are relatively young also. Lets see here, … a nice young woman who loves to play golf and tries to imrove her game.  That is a combination that would be hard for a golf any golf pro to resist.  Were I about to start a round with an impending rain, He would probably tell me not to ask for a rain check and to wipe my feet before coming back to the clubhouse. ; ^) Mark the Okie

Showed up at the club – it was cool but nice. I swung through a bucket of balls and went in to see where I could start my game.  My pro, Greg, asked me if I had an umbrella. I said yes, did I need it? Apparently there was a fast moving storm coming up from the south.  I said I would go to my car and get it. Paid for my game, Greg said "I know, why don’t you take a cart (as in take, don’t pay for it) and I’ll loan you my rain cover." I thought he meant a cover for my clubs. Well, we walk outside and he goes to his car – pulls out a cover for the whole cart!  Is he the best pro to have or what?? After we get it on the cart, he goes back to his car, reaches in and hands me a pair of those big fuzzy mittens to warm your hands!  Tells me to put them on between shots. Of course, 4 holes out it started pouring.  But…I had a couple of great tee shots with my new driver. I had some nice shots on the fairway, and my putting was decent. Didn’t end up with a great score, but between the cold and the rain, I didn’t expect one. All I wanted to do was play and practice my tee shots – just getting up to the tee, swinging properly and finishing in a balanced position. So…although it was cold, although it was raining, I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve ever had. I did only play 9 holes, though. Come on guys! What’s the most important thing to keep dry in the rain!? Your clubs! It does a lovely job of that. And here in Wisconsin, a rain in the fall is a cold, nasty rain.  We had a chance for flurries last night, so you can imagine what getting caught in the rain yesterday would have been like.  When I came in, it was cold enough that Greg couldn’t believe I played all 9, he figured I ditched out early. Hi Heather, hi Daniel, I just asked myself which type of car you drive. I mean who the hell needs to protect a car from getting wet?
