Well Mark thank you for your kindness. I always worry that people think I’m a nitwit since they always assume I’m young. I’m mid 30s (god it hurts to say that), but I suppose my occasional naivete might cause some to think me younger. After we get it on the cart, he goes back to his car, reaches in and hands me a pair of those big fuzzy mittens to warm your hands! Tells me to put them on between shots. Of course, 4 holes out it started pouring. But…I had a couple of great tee shots with my new driver. I had some nice shots on the fairway, and my putting was decent. Didn’t end up with a great score, but between the cold and the rain, I didn’t expect one. All I wanted to do was play and practice my tee shots – just getting up to the tee, swinging properly and finishing in a balanced position. So…although it was cold, although it was raining, I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve ever had. I did only play 9 holes, though. We had a chance for flurries last night, so you can imagine what getting caught in the rain yesterday would have been like. I played today and hit more fairways than ever before. Sure is something satisfying about getting the long ones off the tee to go where they’re supposed to, isn’t there?
