The pro at the range should take you out on the road. With his teaching excellence and your unbridled raw power and ball-striking, you guys would make a killing. Think about it, Dwayne. Ppl are so quick to say you cant do that or that’s not possible. All I wanted to know has anyone else started to play their best game and bcuz of rain or some event like that didnt get to finish and all i basicly hear is you’re a liar you cant hit the ball that far etc etc… think I’ll just lurk from now on instead of posting…

Another Stigma of Golf, everyone who plays is not proper or thinks they are high and mighty, thats one of the things about golf, no offense but people see it as a rich white snobby game. Sorry if I don’t meet those standards and like to take short cuts in typing but i will post without using shortcut from now on. Not if I can’t put the ball in the hole you wouldn’t. Doesn’t mean much to be able to drive the ball X amount of yards but take too many strokes getting the ball in the cup. But serious this has got way off the main topic that I really wanted comments on , so let’s start over ok : ) Last Saturday, played golf and it started to rain. I was on my way to my best game for 9 holes. Has anyone here start to have their best and because of rain or some other occurance did not get to finish. Last Saturday’s score is as follows: 1st hole Par 4 = 4 2nd hole Par 5 = 5 3rd hole Par 3 = 5 (bad read on the wet green: ( ) 4th hole Par 4 = 4 5th hole Par 4 = 3 (had along breaking putt and sunk it, guy on the next fairway yelled out hey nice putt, felt like Tiger

There are plenty of guys in college, and on the mini-tours that hit the ball a TON, and we’ll never hear about 99.99% of them. I watch the finals of our local amateur match play tournament (The Pikes Peak Amateur) almost every year. One year was two young college players, both consistantly driving 330+ (we’re at 6000′ altitude). One of them turned pro, and has done nothing. Two years ago there was another long hitting college kid in the semi’s, and he hit it LONG! I mean 350+ was not uncommon. I don’t even remember his name, and I’m sure we’ll never hear about him. LOT’s of people hit it LONG. Most of them are good solid players, but well known pros they’re not. Now I will admit that many people overestimate how far they can hit it, especially when comparing range distance to actual distance on the golf course. It wasn’t a trash, just a response to what is seen here in RSG a lot. You’re correct, I don’t hit my one iron 270, and there are those who do. I just seriously doubt that you, or 99.9% of those who aren’t pros are one of them. I probably should get in the middle of this but what the hey, im new here and it will probably be another 6 months before i post here again so…. im a beginner, (ie played once a year with rental clubs, just bought my own this fall) with my new spalding eclipse driver (cheap, but i can upgrade) i can ding a rangeball about 230 and roll it to around 250. now that is what the range markers say anyways (rumour has it most ranges keep these short of what they actually are. why would they do this? i don’t know) so now i am assuming somebody who has been doing this for a while should be able to get another 50 yrds or so with a better educated swing and a bigger club. let me know if im assuming wrong? rf. ps i also have a story i tell about getting a speeding ticket in my chevette. 158kph in a 100 zone. unfortunately the cop wouldn’t write the ticket coz he didn’t think the judge would believe it! good thing i had witnesses coz i don’t think anybody else would have bought it either! The RSG syndrome lives!! I can hit the ball 75 yards farther in my posts than on the course too. Tell you what Dwyane, on a level hole take 100 balls, hit them with your one iron. There won’t be any 270 yard drives. You need to measure in yards you know, and you need to be honest with yourself. You won’t find believers here because most of us have been around golf for a lot of years, and we’ve all heard these claims before. If it turns you on, great. However, it really doesn’t matter what we think. "Someone likes every shot" bk

Like I said was in the zone, i guess. That was the first day i had hit the 3w & that 300 was with a roll, but i fig thats dern good for me, dont know why i cant hit the driver, really dont care seeing how I can hit my 1i acurate enough to score on the courses around here, doesn’t hurt my feelins every1 else i play with uses a driver and i use my 1i, i shouldve tried the driver that day seeing how i was able to hit the 3w but yes i can constantly hit my iron 270-300. Also hear ppl saying that 3w are easier to hit than drivers, but hey it works for me so why change whats working. Past Sat. got up @ 7am to play golf. Looked like rain but was only going to play 9 holes anyway. My brother and I leave for the course and we get half way there and the clouds open up, pours down raining 
, we turn around and head home, Wait for about an hour,hour and half, sun comes out so back we go. Get there start off the 1st hole and clouds start coming back up, Teed off on the second and it started to rain,we waited it out by the tree’s since there wasn’t any thunder or lighting. It stops, so we continue on all is fine until we tee off the 6th hole, Boom big lighting bolt so into the club house we go, waited but no luck kept raining and lighting so we called it a day, that afternoon sun came back out and stayed out. The bad thing is I WAS IN THE ZONE. I was on my way to shooting my best 9 hole game, my previous best was 4 over. I never play woods off the Tee anymore, had a heck of a time tying to get them not to be a worm burner, When I first started I could hit a Driver real well but from lack of playing, maybe 3 times a year didnt help, last year i really got bit by the golf bug and been playing reg since then, but my driving ability was kaput, i worked on my short game a few months ago and it helped me out alot, even went out and got a lob wedge, but the driver never came back, I was hitting my irons good so i started playing my 1i which I hit usally from 270-300. I had just bought the s3 wood from walmart, a dunlop fairway wood, and figure Id try it out, thats what’s so surprising was that I was hitting it off every hole except the par 3 long and str8. Sat. i had my chance at my first even or below par game. Oh well what can you do??? Hope I can play that good this sat, and no sign of rain Just wondering if anything like this has happened to you guys. Dwyane Before you buy.
