I wodner if some of some of you esteemed experts can shed some light on this strange phenomenen. I have been playing golf for 3 years. I was a habitual slicer with my GBB 10* driver at first but as I improved this has become an acceptable slight fade. I am 18 handicap now. 2 weeks ago I had my driver reshafted. Old shaft was Aldila firm flex 4.0 torque 44.5"long New shaft suggested and fitted by my local shop is Grafalloy p35 firm but 46" long. Now I hit duck hooks 50% of the time and straight pulls as well about 20 degrees to the right–I am a "lefty" The occasional straight one goes at least 20 yards longer than before. Am I not man enough for this shaft or have I a shallower swing plane than before, I would be grateful if anyone could offer suggestions as to how I can experiment with my swing/setup etc. I am going crazy with frustration, Thank you for reading this, kindest regards, Michael. .

What is the difference in the swing weight and overall weight of the club B4 and After re-shaft, It might be that your club is now too light and you are closing it faster than before. Increase the swing with slightly by adding some lead tapes on the club head and see if it helps. Regards Jef Goh
