Question:
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Dynacraft has just hit the market with a dead ringer for the Tight Lies club. They are offering 13, 16, 19, and 24 degree lofts. They also have a 9.5 degree driver, but it has a much taller face. Also they will have a 29 degree that will be available in June, and left hand models this summer. The only problem right now is they are already out of stock on the 13 and 16 degree models, and their next shipment is already sold out too. I backordered two clubheads and will probably have to wait a couple of weeks at least. Think the folks out there are not tuned in to the so-called copycat, knockoff, or clone clubs? Why pay over $200 for a club you can get for $50? Either way if the club turns out to be a good one for me I’m gonna wear that sucker out and then give it away. If it turns out to be a dud for me, I’m only out $50 less whatever I can sell it for. I’ll take the cheap way every time, still get a good club and more often than not keep the rest of that money for beer! Once again a disservice is done to legitimate COMPONENT manufacturers by calling their products copycat, knockoff or clones. The tight lies club design is patented and Dynacraft has not infringed upon that patent. It does have a low center of gravity, but is no a dead ringer for the tight lies. Please get the facts right. BTW, I built a strong 3 wood for myself and my son. They hit great.
Maybe you have never seen an Adams Tight Lies club. The Tour Caliber Dynacraft is a dead ringer for it and you know it. As for clones etc., it doen’t matter what you call it. I know a copy when I see one. You are wrong. Now here is a fact. I never said there was anything wrong with these cheap clubs. I just said they were cheap. I happen to think they are just as good as any. Every golf club I have I built myself from Golfsmith, U T Golf, Dynacraft, Maltby and a couple others. So don’t get your panties in a wad every time someone says clone. I have a titanium driver I built from components from U T Golf and it looks like a Big Bertha. Maybe you need to get your eyes checked. Tommy Anderson
