Any one suggest a nice 3-Wood

Question:

I’ll second that!!!  These woods are the best deal I’ve ever found in golf clubs $180 for driver, 3 and 5 woods. best of luck, Jason Butler – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I am a 25 yr old beginner playing of a 24 hcp in North Wales UK I would like some advice by someone more experienced than me on a nice easy playing 3 Wood for me, I am 5′ 7" and generally hook my irons a little, and push my woods a little to,  I also naturally hit quite a long way ! I want a good club but without spending Megabucks Look for a Ping Zing "wooden" 3 wood-new or used. I bought a used 3 and 5 wood of the blond wood (rock maple) variety and have never hit a more forgiving fairway wood. They’re also nice to look at. They also seem to be a bit oversized which gives me a little more confidence when addressing the ball. I love mine and what’s even nicer is that I only paid $59 ea. for them. I hit the 3 off the tee sometimes when I can’t seem to hit my driver on a given day, and seem to be able to get between 220-250 yards out of it. Good luck!

Response:

Try the nicklous 3 wood made about three years ago. It was originally made by Toney Pena and Nicklous put his name on it. Wood has a graphite shaft and an unusual head with a stainless block at the bottom face. Nicklous only made it one season under his name. Get the right shaft for your swing speed. There are a lot of these things in pro shops-unsold. They look funny but hit really well. Original cost $225, now $50. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I am a 25 yr old beginner playing of a 24 hcp in North Wales UK I would like some advice by someone more experienced than me on a nice easy playing 3 Wood for me, I am 5′ 7" and generally hook my irons a little, and push my woods a little to,  I also naturally hit quite a long way !
