Question:
I am contemplating buying an Adams FC driver, 9 degree loft. The theory on the club face sounds OK to me but do they really work?? Simon
Response:
I’ve done a little research on the Internet for opinions. The following ratings were posted to Golf Online (www.golfonline.com): From a 14 handicap: Control: ***** (of 5) Distance: *** Feedback: **** Forgiveness: ***** Value: ** Total Rating: ***.5 Comments: This club hits the ball as straight as any club I have ever hit, nevertheless the club lacks distance. If you wish to substitute accuracy for distance then this is the club for you! I have hit the Hawk Eye, Titleist 975D, Orlimar Driver, and the McHenry Metals. The Adams SC 818FC is the only one I can hit a draw with. I hit more fairways with it. Now I am looking to break 80 many times this summer. If you fade the ball like I do this is the driver for you. Hope this helps! I’m about to go ahead and buy one of these clubs.
