Question:
I was just wondering what effect does the water have on the performance of a Golf Ball, if the ball has been sitting in the water from 1-2 weeks max? Will a high handicapper notice a difference in how the ball performs, if there is one? The reason I’m asking is…I’m thinking of purchasing some AAA Used Golf Balls, but the dealer told me they are all water balls. The owner of the shop has an agreement with several courses, where he can send a diver in the water hazards to pickup balls hit in the water. The diver makes a trip out to the courses every 1-2 weeks. The balls are in great AAA condition, they’ve just been in the water. Please…post your opinions on this matter. Response:
There may be a small difference in distance. But not very likely for a beginner or high handi. to notice. A little man making big statements
Response:
It also matters how long they have been in the water. A few weeks shouldn’t affect the performance too much. I myself thouh have found a ball that maybe bounced 1 to 2 inches after i took it out of a water hazard and dropped it on concrete. josh
