Question:
Hi, My daughter was hardening her tomato plants off…she started them from seeds, and she left them outside one night accidently…The night was cold and the plants have begun to wilt. Is there something she can do to help them regain their former vigor? They were doing well… Thanks Rachel Ann

If they were hit with a hard freeze, nothing will bring them back. If it was a light frost, bring them where they will be warm, do not overwater, and pray! Recently, after I planted my tomatoes outside, we had a frost (just at 32). The plants looked awful for about two weeks, but seemed to perk up. I use a totally organic program, and I do believe that helps with some degree of frost tolerance, but not much. Now, I have tomatoes on two of those plants. They are the size of golf balls, and this light frost happened 4 weeks ago. It depends on how cold that cold was… Victoria
