Response:
I was thinking how you could use all the dimples of the ball, starting from the top to the bottom in a clockwise direction, to print Fibonacci numbers. I know the print would have to be small, but I think it’d be cool. RipRock

:I think numbering the balls consecutively is a brilliant idea! Or :numbering :all of the balls in a box the same. Plus, how about using higher :numbers….like 8, or 9, or 53. How cool would it be to have a number like

I think they should sell them in boxes of 48, consecutively numbered starting at 1. Then all the gambling-addicted Australians over here could use them to pick their Lotto numbers for the weekend

how does having all the balls the same no encourage buying more?

| [...] | The reason i like it is i walk almost all the courses i play, so i keep very | few balls in my bag, prehaps only one sleeve. I know exactly what number of | balls i am hitting when i pull a new one out of the bag. This keeps me from | hitting a wrong ball becuase i did not know what number i was playing. | I like to keep two of same brand but different numbers in my pocket, that way when I hit a provisional I can tell which was which if they end up close together…’Course the first time I actually _needed_ to know that I had just sent all three over the same little hillock towards trouble, and when I got halfway there I realized I hadn’t taken note of the numbers of _any_ of them as I was hitting. — Greg Garland – Alive, occupying space, and exerting gravitational force MS 54-106, Harris Semiconductor Sector, PO Bx 883, "Never let the facts interfere with your perception of reality."

I think it is good for some that they put one number in one sleeve. In every sport people have thier own superstitions. Some people like to hit one paticular type and numbered golf balls. And if you noticed in a box they put consecutive numbers. The reason i like it is i walk almost all the courses i play, so i keep very few balls in my bag, prehaps only one sleeve. I know exactly what number of balls i am hitting when i pull a new one out of the bag. This keeps me from hitting a wrong ball becuase i did not know what number i was playing.
