Question:
Wow, I had the club for about two months and could not get rid of my slice. I sold it to a workmate and returned to my Hawkeye and instantly got rid of my slice. Longer distance too… RB
You were probably trying to hit conventional golf balls. The liquid metals come into their own when hitting steel ball bearings. GBM

That’s nice, but I don’t believe that makes the club ‘better’. If it works better for you, that’s great, but I think half of it is confidence and the other half is placebo. Especially when put to the iron byron type tests, the clubs don’t vary much at all. Dave – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – The next big thing is ceramics. Sorry, clubs haven’t really improved hardly at all in the last 10 years, so don’t bother trying to ‘upgrade’ for the sake of getting better stuff. Dave Just saw the info-mercial on LMD. Had the credit card out, stopped myself! To bad I didn’t stop myself the other day when I hit a 5 wood into the parking lot instead of taking out the 7 iron. I talked with a driving range owner who has a Liquid Metal and he says it is a fantastic driver, but that he couldnt work the ball with it. Said it hit the ball too straight. That and they are very expensive. Mike
I just bought a brand new one of these on eBay. It was less than half of what they are selling for direct from Liquid Metal (I paid $180). I have only used it in a couple of rounds and on the range a couple of times, but I really like it. I did have one of the original graphite shafted Adams drivers. It is true that you are not able to "work" the ball as much with this club, but as a 25 handicapper that really is not part of my game anyway. The club puts less spin on the ball and therefore does hit it straighter and lower. The one I got has a 11.5 degree loft and I am hitting it lower than I was with the 10.5 Adams. Hitting the drives with a lower trajectory was one of my objectives. I realize that the loft is only one of several factors that determines the ball flight, but the result is what I was looking for. As far as more distance, well that is still to be determined. If I am hitting it any farther, it isn’t much farther – maybe 10 yards or so. I love the feel of the club and shaft – mine is a graphite shaft with the senior flex. I have a very short backswing and fairly slow stroke (and am also 55 years old <G) From just the short time I have spent with the club, and from what others that have hit with mine say, I think that they are great drivers. I doubt that I would have spent the $450 or so for one, but it is well worth what I paid for it. Dick Schneiders
