Question:
A couple of weeks ago DH decided to put new cupboards in the laundry room. This required moving the dryer. He and my son tilted it back and I started to laugh. There were over 100 furry mice all wadded up and stuffed against the back wall. I pulled out a couple of arm loads.
Lauging out loud! I wonder if you found any of *my* cat’s fur mice back there! What a great story, especially about how she seems to have found a _new_ hiding place! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Next week we plan to move the washer. Hazel Az

We have the same problem….Right now I would say we have about 70-80 of those darn little rabbit-fur mice toys around the house, but the thing is, they start playing with them and lose them under the couch, stove, fridge, and laundry room door. About once every two weeks or so, they completely run out of mice, so Steve and I move the couch, get the 30 or so from under there and re-distribute…*Grin* Don’t you realize that this is one of those duties that our cats keep us around for? Instead of fetch my slippers….fetch my toys! *Cackle* *Happily on her kitties’ leash* Laura My Lucy Fur is a very active little demon. <grin Her favorite toy-treats are those little fur mice you can get at Wal-Mart or the grocery store.(5 to a pack for about $3) When she gets one she is in kitty bliss. She throws them in the air and catches them and chases them all over the house. Then they mysteriously disappear and she begs for another. Of course I am a soft touch and I give her another…..

h8i Years ago I bought a big bag of cheap practice golf balls (hollow plastic with lots of holes drilled in them by hand in some 3rd world country) for my two kitties Pi and Sam (RB). I passed them out over a few years. For years afterward I would find them in all sorts of strange places but I know there still is an ultra-secret cache with dozens of the balls somewhere in the house. Marv & Miss Lucy

<GRIN! My little Wendy takes them and purposely plays with them right in front of my armoire with a cut out bottom. There seems to be a greater thrill knowing that at any moment the mousie might be lost under the armoire (and it inevitably WILL be lost under there). Toby

I’m not sure if the look of amazement was because we found her secret stash or because she had never seen so many mice in one place. I left some on the floor and hid the rest away. In a few hours they were all gone. None were under the dryer. Next week we plan to move the washer. Hazel Az

LOL…. this sort of reminds me of the time the cat got the frog out of the aquarium… we didn’t see it for years until we were cleaning out the basement and found a little desicated frog carcass under the one cedar chest… along with a wide variety of normal cat toys… Lynda

A few weeks ago, my landlady bought a new stove for my apartment [I have a *very* nice landlady!!
] and when the delivery man moved the old one out I was pretty embarrassed …there on the floor, were at least 2-to-3 dozen milk jug rings which my owner, Sheba, had obviously "stored" under the stove. [BTW: She kept trying to reach under the new one for at least a week afterward looking, I'm sure, for her treasures!] Cats..ya gotta love ‘em!!
