Question:
Hey Puttster, Is it true that there is such a product? If there is I will have to apologize to my golf buddy for calling him a liar. What you have explained sounds somewhat logical that a radar company would invent such an item. So how do I find out more about this golf gadget and why has such a great product been absent from the great golf market. Something of this magitude would sell like hotcakes. Thanks Joe, I can see where you are coming from but I really believe that there is such an item. Matter fact, since this message I had a person call me and has seen such a product that finds golf balls. I think that the genius that can invent a gadget like that would probably make a million. I wish it was me. Talrexia
The genius who invented this was being sought by law enforcement. Not only did he invent a golf ball finder but devices that found other objects as well. Inside the units was nothing more than a cheap IC chip that did absolutely nothing. It was a fraud and scam.

I do have an item that consists of 2 golf balls and a receiver. The balls have some sort of chip or transmitter in them and the receiver beeps when you turn it on and get near the ball. However, I don’t think it would do much good if you put one in the drink. I picked this up at a flea market, as I collect golf memorabilia. I believe it was made in England – have to go find it now.
Think I paid a buck for it – probably overpaid! Don Lets talk Golf!! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hey, Has anyone heard of a golf ball finder. My golf buddy told me that there was a golf ball finder that work on the reflections of the dimples on the golf ball. Somehow the dimples on a golf ball reflects some kind of signal that is picked by this golf ball finder. This golf ball finder is boxed shaped and has an aerial attached to it and if the aerial points in a certain direction it is signaled by the dimples on a golf ball. It is great when you hit your ball in the wood or heavy rough. I asked him where did he see such a item and he said that he does not remember. I wonder if anyon have ever heard of such an item. Or is leg being pulled by my golf buddy. Would like some answers if there is one. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!

I have just received my own ration of The "Ball Buster," the ball finder of which your friend spoke so highly. The company that makes them (utilizes the same radarmetrics as the "Fuzzbuster") restricts sales to keep their prices high – that’s why they are so difficult find. But if you lose several titleists a round the payback could be as short as one month, after that you are making pure profit! So get that checkbook out, my friend, and let’s make a deal. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hey, Has anyone heard of a golf ball finder. Once I had this friend who showed me this great golf ball he had. He told me it had a special electronic circuit inside which was indestructable and could be detected by the FM radio in his WalkMan. He showed me how he could use the WalkMan to find the golf ball no matter where it was lying. "you can never lose this ball", he said. I thought it was great! I asked him where he got it. "I found it!", he said…

I would definitely suspect that your friend is just putting you on, but I guess anything’s possible. What would it be about the dimples of a golf ball that reflected some special signal any more than the holes in a rotten apple would? Joe
