Question:
www.doozogolf.com There is no internal shaft separator; just a patented Shaft Shield on top that prevents the clubs from rubbing together, or anything else for that matter. I have a set of graphite shafted irons. I use those hard plastic golf tubes (in my golf bag) to store the clubs. Despite this I see that the shafts are scratched right down to the graphite layer (paint scratched off). Will this shorten the life of the graphite shaft? How damaging is this? Will applying some paint to the affected area help? How do most people care for graphite shafted irons? I think the damage resulted when the clubs were in the car trunk (in the bag). The bag is in a horizontal position and the smaller clubs tend to slide out of the tube because there is room inside the bag top cover. When the car is turning left or right it probably exaggerates the condition (sliding). Or maybe the damgae occurs when the graphite shaft is rubbing against the plastic tubing when it’s in the horizontal position (in the bag in the car trunk). I’m just speculating. Any advice would be appreciated.
