Question:
Help! I’ve racked my brains and can’t think of any good (original) ideas for Groomsmen gifts. Anyone ever received or given something they thought was a good gift for Groomsmen? I’ve received cigars, a wallet and a nice bottle of scotch– I’m looking to expand on that if possible. Any ideas would be *greatly* appreciated. You can respond via email. Thanks in advance. This weekend we saw some really cool sunglasses that are designed to fit over prescription lenses. We’re getting those for a couple of our ushers & groomsmen who wear glasses. One thing you might want to do is think about giving gifts that fit the individual interests/personalities of the groomsmen. For example, one of our groomsmen has a pierced nose (actually, it’s his septum that is pierced) and I’m going to talk to Jonathan (my fiance) about giving a nose ring as a gift! We got all of our groomsmen something different that suited their personalities, and managed to cost roughly the same amount of money. Cigar smoker= cigars in a make-shift humidor Beach bum= sunglasses Guy with new house and game room= dartboard set Guy with new teaching job= briefcase Golfer= golf bag Drinker= good ole fashion pewter flask Punker= cool ska jacket Business Guy= electronic rolodex *Other ideas on our list included laser pointer, tickets to concert, windproof lighter, rounds of golf, Brett Favre jersey (don’t ask), volleyball, wine, beer of the month club *By the way, we did lots of shopping around to get the best prices. Start soon. Hope this helps, Michelle (& John) 7/13/96

suggestions: A very good quality corkscrew with a bottle of good wine, a bartener’s guide, a travel alarm clock, tickets to a sporting event, gift certificate to a nice restaurant, a good soccerball, volleyball, football, dozen golfballs, etc. Let the gift fit your groomsmen’s interests. good luck! gkp
