Question:
I am producing a PBS documentary on the history of golf and would like to enlist the help of my fellow readers and golf history enthusiasts. I would like to speak with anyone who owns old home movies and personal film archives that have anything to do with golf. I am searching for film footage from early 1900 to 1970 and dealing with tournaments, generic golf and country club activities. Is there any footage out there of Harry Vardon when he barnstormed across America in the early 1900s? What about footage of Sarazen, Hagen, Snead, etc.. that are part of personal collections? I am particularly interested in footage from 1900 to 1930 when there was not much recorded history.. Jim Walton
