Hi all, I will be attending a training class at the ARG facility in Cary, NC the last week of June. I will be staying at the Hampton Inn. I was hoping someone would know where the closest course (or courses are) is in that area. Thanks Wes
Try RGA (Raleigh Golf Association) on Tryon Rd. Not as long as some of the others in the area, but nice, and you don’t need t-times. If you want a challenge, try the new Riverwood Golf Club (over 7,000 yds). The 2nd hole is a 266 yd par 3. Lochmere Golf Club, Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary – semi-private course, very flat, doesn’t drain well if it has rained recently, nice range and practice areas. Devils Ridge, Holly Springs – down the road a bit, but a great course. Personally, I find it a bit hilly to walk, but always in great shape. Devil’s Ridge or Lochmere Country Club are both good, For a tougher course, try Crooked Creek in Fuquay Varina.
