Question:
"Re: Bangkok", to which I would like to add the following: what are regular people????
People who screw bargirls. Irregular people are screwing bar boys, but they’re having at least as much fun doing so.
Please, allow me to be regular on this as it’s the only thing in life where I’m in the ‘regular’ camp.
Anyway, it would make sense for Soi Ngam Dupli to be predominantly gay as opposed to Sukhumvit hotels, where boy bars are few and far in between. Cheers, Chanchao
Response:
If you would like to be near the historic sights of Banglampu you could try the New World. Large rooms, tv but no pool. The maid service seem to be perpectually cruising the hall cleaning everything in sight. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a more spotless hotel. Internet reservation price of 350bt. For a swim you can stroll down the street to Khaosarn Rd. where there is an outdoor bar with decent size pool for a nominal fee.
Response:
last Fall and noticed no more gays than most other places. Maybe I’m just not observant or maybe the gays are just acting like regular people!
Or, maybe gays just are regular people…. — Saipan, Narita Layover and Tropical Pond pages: http://net.saipan.com/personal/mike_newman/

Makes one wonder what an "irregular person" would be LOL.

what are regular people????check out the gay web sites of BKK and you will find the hotel is the hottest place for gays.. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – tcc2: I also always stay at the Malaysia when I’m in Bangkok. I was there for a week in September. The hotel is comfortable, quiet, well-managed, friendly to guests you may bring in to your room (for no additional fee). The restaurant is decent and open 24 hours a day, with room service if you want it. The TV has HBO, the AC works really well, and the bathrooms have been upgraded during the last few years. There is a small outdoor swimming pool and a tiny massage parlor in the building (traditional? Don’t know; never had a massage there). In the neighborhood are travel agencies, good restaurants, ATMs, and a 24 hour a day 7-11. The Malaysia had a notorious reputation during the Viet Nam war, when it was a principal trysting spot for American servicemen on R & R (in the wee hours, after the bars close, some unoccupied bar girls still gravitate toward the restaurant). Later, it tried to go upscale by raising prices and catering to a mainly Arab clientele. However, THAT bubble was burst when police raided and found dope. In recent years, the Malaysia has gotten its act back together and become a nice, reasonably priced place to stay. It is located on the small but busy Soi Ngam Duphli, an easy taxi ride to most places of interest. Unless, of course, it’s in the middle of Bangkok’s notorious twice a day traffic jams. Being only a 2-lane road, the Soi doesn’t provide the choking pollution the main roads do during these periods. The pollution in the area is a few blocks away on the multi-laned Rama IV. About $20 U.S. per night. You can E-mail your reservations through: Happy to supply further info if needed. –Orin P.S. Everybody says now that the Malaysia is full of gays. I was there last Fall and noticed no more gays than most other places. Maybe I’m just not observant or maybe the gays are just acting like regular people! The best area to find low-cost accommodation is in Khaosan Road, but you’re unlikely to get a pool included for that price. –Chris ICQ: 1374996 —–= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =—– http://www.newsfeeds.com – The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! —–== Over 80,000 Newsgroups – 16 Different Servers! =—–

cb1.aol.com, I will be arriving in Bangkok late in the
evening in mid September. I was hoping someone could recommend a hotel near the
center of things that I could make a reservation at. I would prefer not to
start hunting when I get there. Thanks. PLease email responses to:

Depending on the amount you want to spend–if you are a frugal sort, go to Kao Sarn road and check out the D-M. There are several reasonable places there. Cheers

Try the Siam Oriental half way down Khao Sahn rd, look for the yellow sign. $11/nite for a double bed, pvt. shower, security cams in the hallways, bar/restaurant down stairs with BIG screen TV. Aloha
