VFT clones

Question:

Hi folks: I apologize in advance for this newbie question.  I’m just starting to get into golf, and found a lot of sites that sell Callaway VFT clones, in particular, VRG irons. How comparable are these irons, really, to the Callaways?  Are many people using them?  What are your suggestions? Thanks so much for your help. Stuart

Response:

I ordered a set of Callaway X-16 Pro CLONES from golfideas.com and I love them. I also ordered the Callaway GBB2 CLONE also. The driver is awesome. I saw the originals in a golf store the other day. The irons sell for $900 and the driver sells for $400. I bought the X-16 Pro Clones for $179 (upgraded shafts) and the GBB2 Clone for $139. $318 is a lot less than $1,300 for basically the same thing. BTW…… I play to 6 handicap and I don’t see any difference between name brand and clones. If I could putt I would probably be a 4 or better. (that’s another story) — John R

Golfideas.com?!?  Hey, I ordered my whole entire set from them! My brother-in-law is ordering the VFT’s from them.  I demo’d a PING i3+ iron (6 iron) and fell in love with it.  I almost DIED when I heard the set of authentic PING’s were $699-$899 – just irons – no woods!! I discovered http://www.golfideas.com on the internet and found out quickly how the quality of "knock-offs", "clones", etc…etc…  play compared to the real thing.  Some are not really good.  Some are outstanding and actually perform BETTER than the OEM real club! The ultimate place for cheap clubs is Diamond Tour Golf on the internet.   http://www.diamondtour.com They are the foundry for the other internet sites, and will make any club, any size, any style… Butch A. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I ordered a set of Callaway X-16 Pro CLONES from golfideas.com and I love them. These components can be purchased directly from the distributor (diamondtour.com) at a cheaper price.  Check them out. Dave
